Abstract

This study explores the position of Imam Hasan Al-Basri regarding his hearing from the Companions of the Prophet (Sahabah) and the scholarly perspectives surrounding it. Specifically, it examines the views of prominent scholars, including Allama Al-Albani and Hafiz Zubair Ali Zai, on whether Imam Hasan Al-Basri directly received knowledge and narrations from the Sahabah. The research evaluates these positions in light of historical evidence, theological discussions, and the criteria of Hadith transmission. By analyzing the differing opinions, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Imam Hasan al-Basri's relationship with the Sahabah in terms of the authenticity and reliability of his narrations. The study also addresses the broader implications of these scholarly views on the transmission of Islamic knowledge and the role of early scholars in preserving the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
