The Legitimacy of Sunnah Ibrahimi on the day of Sacrifice and the Differences of Jurists in Determining the days of Sacrifice in the Light of Imam Qurtubi's Jurisprudential Research

Abstract

Sacrifice is the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and it is celebrated in the memory of Hazrat Ismail and it is obligatory upon the Muslims. This Sunnah will be fulfilled by slaughtering animals. In this regard, the view of some jurists is that this sacrifice is only special with the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, so the animal will be slaughtered on the same day, and some have said three days, some have said four days, and some have said that the sacrifice is valid for six days. The ruling on the validity and legitimacy of the sacrifice is different, so in the light of this difference, this topic is very important. In this article, an attempt has been made to solve this jurisprudential issue.
