Abstract

Although Islam has not imposed the responsibility of earning on women, still it has given them this right. The objective of study is that the traditional society did not look favorably on women's livelihood. In response, it is said that a woman is not responsible for wealth. Present study highlights the role of Muslim women in economic development of Medina. This is an analytical study. That is gathered from secondary sources; books, articles and online. In terms of livelihood, there was a large number of women during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, who supported themselves and their families by taking various occupations, including both Muslim and non-Muslim women. Holy Prophet (PBUH) encouraged and liked this work. In today's era where women are economically weak, they consider it necessary to strengthen themselves in this aspect, so it is important for women to follow the command of the Prophet. That is why it is important that all the means of earning should be provided to women so that they are able to earn and strengthen this economic aspect of themselves.
