Abstract

In today's borderless world, the way people communicate has been greatly impacted by advancements in new communication technologies like social media platforms. Modern science has made people more focused on material things, making it harder for them to think about Deen and Aakherat. That is way modern IT equipment can be a more effective tool for religios outreach. Accounting to the discussion, social media has benefits and drawbacks in our Muslim society noticeably from Islamic Perspective. It is believed that globalization has brought about new challenges for the Muslim world in terms of media and technology. This article explains how Islam is being promoted through Online platforms and their benefits and drawbacks.
