A significant number of Western writers have historically devoted extensive efforts to misrepresenting the Prophet of Islam, the beliefs of Islam, and Islamic teachings. Their aim has been to distort any aspect of Islam in a negative light. For individuals unfamiliar with Islam, this strategy could discourage their interest in learning about the religion. Through repeated and forceful assertions, these writers sought to label truth as falsehood, ultimate conditioning minds to accept these misconceptions. In their endeavor, they manipulated historical narratives and fabricated myths. Orientalists particularly targeted the character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) due to his central role in Islam. While the Quran remains the unaltered primary source of Islamic teachings, they recognized that it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Consequently, they focused on portraying his life negatively, aiming to depict his biography in ways that would appeal to popular interest while embedding misleading elements intended to fuel anti-Islamic sentiment. Despite the concerted efforts of these Orientalists, their attempts ultimately failed to achieve their intended impact.
