Abstract

The rise of atheism among the youth has become an increasingly significant issue in today’s society. This research review explores the causes behind this phenomenon and suggests possible solutions. Key factors contributing to the growth of atheism include the influence of social media, the spread of misleading information, and the widespread adoption of secular ideologies. Exposure to these ideas, especially on digital platforms, often leads young people to question or abandon their religious beliefs. Furthermore, the lack of religious education and spiritual guidance in both family and school environments plays a vital role in fostering doubt among the youth. The breakdown of traditional family structures, where religious values were once emphasized, also contributes to the problem. In many modern educational systems, there is a lack of emphasis on religious teachings, which can help counter the influence of atheism. Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive approach. Parents, educators, and religious scholars must collaborate to engage the youth, provide thoughtful answers to their doubts, and promote clear, rational explanations of faith. Encouraging critical thinking and educating young people about distinguishing between credible and misleading sources of information, particularly in the digital age, can help reverse the growing trend of atheism among the youth.
