Abstract

The term "Seerah" refers to the life events, character, and habits of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The word "Seerah" was used even before the Prophet's (PBUH) prophethood; however, its association with his life began some time after the formal initiation of Seerah writing. Today, in all languages, the term Seerah is specifically used to refer to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This term has even been incorporated into English dictionaries with the same meaning. In addition, in the terminology of Islamic sciences and arts, the word Seerah was first used to describe the actions and behaviors of the Prophet (PBUH) in dealing with non-Muslims, in matters of war, peace, and treaties. Early commentators, jurists, hadith scholars, and biographers of the Prophet used the term Seerah in this sense. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the only personality whose noble efforts brought about such a profound revolution that his teachings transformed people's hearts, minds, habits, and even the entire system of life. There is no aspect of life that is devoid of his guidance. The major cause of the chaos and disarray in the contemporary world is the distance from the Quran and Sunnah. In conclusion, every individual of the Muslim Ummah, regardless of their class or field, must familiarize themselves with the pure teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), strengthen their connection to him, and cultivate love for the Messenger (PBUH) within themselves. The Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH) is such a vast topic that expressing its essence would require ages, as no amount of praise can truly do justice to his exalted status. The Prophet (PBUH) was a teacher, a ruler, an interpreter, a lawgiver, and a judge. In all these capacities, he was divinely appointed. Therefore, it is obligatory for every Muslim to follow him in all these roles. This adherence will manifest in our lives only when we study the blessed Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH) in depth. Every aspect of life—be it acts of worship, dealings, social interactions, morality, politics, military strategy, governance, or justice—has been illuminated by the Prophet's (PBUH) perfect and exemplary guidance. Whether it pertains to individual life or collective matters, he left behind a flawless model for every situation and aspect of life.
